On a homecoming night at South Putnam like none other, senior Ayanna Nees celebrates being crowned 2020 homecoming queen. The daughter of Abbigail and Philip Ellis, Ayanna is escorted by Gabriel Langley, son of Lynette and Jessie Langley. On the field Friday, the Eagles defeated Edgewood 42-0.

Why would you take pictures like this with masks? What kind of keepsake picture is this going to be for the young lady???!!!

They wear the masks all day at school. They have to wear them at all public events. This photo is representative of their life this year.

Maybe some of us need to follow these school guidelines. These students know the rules and follow them with no complaints. It is sad to see a comment referring to this beautiful young lady who just won a big queen honor as a ‘sheeple’. Congratulations young lady.

Among all of the negativity in the world today, here is a good story in the newspaper...and yet someone still has to put a negative spin on it in order to satisfy their drama-filled ego. Sad.
