G. ‘Jane’ Jeffries

G. “Jane” Jeffries, 88, of Rockville, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2020 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

Born April 10, 1932 in Montgomery County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Asbury Jewl Clark and Bertha Lennis Galbreath Clark.

She married Robert M. Jeffries on May 6, 1950. He died on Dec. 28, 2012. They were married for 62 years.

Jane graduated from Roachdale High School in 1950. She was baptized at the Roachdale Chrisitian Church, was a member of the Rockville Christian Church and previously a member of the Covered Bridge Art Association.

She is survived by three daughters, Marianna Martin of Sunrise, Fla., Dena Foxworthy (Ron Cope) and Susan Millikan, both of Rockville; and five grandchildren, Allen Martin of Florida, Angie Martin of New Ross, Amanda Foxworthy-Chapman (Patrick) of Rockville, Eric Foxworthy (Stephanie) of Rockville and Tara Picket (Andrew) of Attica. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Howard Franklin Clark of Sun Lakes, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Roseanne Riggle and Lucille Merle Keck.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 E. High St., Rockville with Rev. Tom Jeffries officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until time of the service at 4 p.m. Cremation has been chosen.
