Indiana 4-H Leadership Summit is Nov. 21

Monday, October 19, 2020

Putnam County is excited to serve as a host site for the 2020 Indiana 4-H Leadership Summit. The summit will include virtual and in-person components in 2020.

The summit will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. All 4-H members in grades 7-12 and adult 4-H volunteers are invited to attend.

In Putnam County, we will be meeting in person and will finalize our Greencastle location based on registration such that we can maintain social distancing. We will practice social distancing and wear face coverings to comply with state guidelines.

Putnam County will be virtually joining other host sites from across the state of Indiana to learn new information that will be beneficial to you personally and to the 4-H groups that you work with here in Putnam County.

Michelle Cummings will be the summit’s keynote and capnote speaker. Michelle will share some awesome activities that can be led in person or in a virtual environment. She will keep us actively engaged. You can learn more about her at https://training-wheels.com/resources/who-we-are/ with her bio.

Four additional sessions will be led by experts from around the state on topics including 4-H science, healthy living, civic engagement/leadership and one designed to help us all stay better connected in a virtual environment. In addition, we will recognize the accomplishments of some outstanding youth and adult 4-H volunteers.

We hope you will accept this invitation to join us for the Indiana 4-H Leadership Summit. You can join for all or part of the day.

Registrations are due by Nov. 1 by calling the Extension office at 653-8411 to RSVP, and there will be no charge. There will be no registration fee locally, though space may be limited to first come, first served. When you call to RSVP, please provide any info necessary regarding special dietary needs or accommodations.
