When Santa Claus comes to town to have breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 5, he’ll be taking some extra precautions to help keep everyone safe.

Greencastle Tri-Kappa members, who are hosting the 29th annual event at Deer Meadow Primary School from 8-11 a.m. (breakfast ends at 10:30), assure that masks will be required and hand sanitizer will be provided.

A plexiglass screen will be placed in front of Santa as children will sit on a bench in front of the Jolly Old Elf instead of on his lap. The bench will be disinfected between children.

Additional precautions against the spread of the COVID-19 virus include breakfast being served by masked and gloved servers.

Craft supplies will not be shard this year. Craft tables will be sanitized between family groups.

No preregistration is necessary for Breakfast with Santa. Cost is $5 per person. Photos will Santa will be available for $2.
