County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At midnight, James M. Sandusky, 37, Cloverdale, was booked in for driving while intoxicated endangering a person and driving with an ACE of .15 or more.

Wednesday

• At 2:37 p.m. Jordan L. Jones, 21, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for probation violation.

• At 12:37 p.m. Shawn D. Weston, 20, Greencastle, was booked in for illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

• At 10:49 a.m. Roger P. Lopez, 50, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

Tuesday

• At 8:51 p.m. Timothy L. Swafford, 44, Terre Haute, was housed at the jail for driving with a suspended license.

• At 8:18 p.m. Magon J. Tabor, 28, Bainbridge, was booked in for application fraud.

• At 5:57 p.m. Taylor N. Okulovich, 22, Brazil, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 10:23 a.m. Richard A. Romandine, 41, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a pair of local warrants.

Monday

• At 2:16 p.m. Daniel E. Smyser, 38, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a court order.

• At 1:53 p.m. Thomas J. Lubiniecki, 31, Brazil, was booked in for neglect of a dependent and disorderly conduct.

City Police

Four recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, Todd R. Savage, 31, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman.

Taken into custody at Veterans Memorial Highway and Tennessee Street, Savage was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a pair of out-of-county warrants.

He was wanted on a Marion County warrant for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of a syringe, as well as a Hendricks County warrant for violation of probation.

• At 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Donald C. Cheney II, 36, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Taken into custody at an Indianapolis Road residence, Cheney was arrested on the Putnam County warrant for possession of a narcotic drug and leaving the scene of an accident.

• At 10:28 a.m. Anthony M. Leonard, 25, Greencastle, was arrested by Sgt. Chris Jones.

Taken into custody as he was walking along Bloomington Street, Leonard was arrested and lodged in the Putnam County Jail for theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction.

The theft charge stems from incidents at Casey’s both Saturday and Wednesday when Leonard allegedly took food items and energy drinks valued at $23.44.

• At 1:57 p.m. Saturday, Patricia Colantonio, 29, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Brad Hiatt.

Taken into custody at a Castlebury residence, Colantonio was arrested on a Hendricks County warrant and taken to the Hendricks County Jail.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Amanda T. Johnson, 40, Bloomingdale, was eastbound on U.S. 36 in a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban when she hit a deer.

Deputy Josh Deal estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently performed three medical assists.
