It's a "Midwinter Night's Dream" featuring music by Schubert, Debussy, and Ney Rosauro combined with winter photography by local artist, photographer and author Stu Fabe as the Greencastle Virtual Music Festival presents it's 18th weekly online program.

Performers include pianist Claude Cymerman, cellist Eric Edberg, percussionist Ming-Hui Kuo, and cellist Peter Lockman.

The pre-recorded concert goes "live" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and can be heard and seen:

• In a watch party with post-concert discussion at http://watch.gvmf.live

• At facebook.com/greencastlevirtualmusic

• At greencastlemusic.org.

All previous weekly programs are available at http://playlist.gvmf.live.

Cymerman and Edberg, both DePauw emeritus music professors, will continue their voyage through a cello and piano arrangement of Franz Schubert's "Winterreise" (Winter Journey), and Cymerman joins Kuo, the DePauw percussion professor, in "Reflections and Dreams," the Bach and jazz-inspired second movement of Ney Rosauro's Marimba Concerto No. 2.

Peter Lockman, a DePauw alum, who studied with Edberg, presents a all-cello arrangement of the "gently expressive" slow movement of the string quartet by Claude Debussy, with Lockman playing all four parts.

Greencastle Virtual Music Festival programs are made possible by the Greencastle Summer Music Festival family of donors and the GSMF endowment at the Putnam County Community Foundation, the Putnam County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the DePauw Performing Arts Series, the Inn at DePauw, the people of Gobin Church, and in partnership with the Sunny Side concert series.

Contributions, which provide income for musicians impacted by the pandemic shutdown of live performances, can be made at greencastlemusic.org/donate.
