Delta Theta Tau begins taking geranium orders

ROACHDALE — Delta Theta Tau Sorority of Roachdale has announced that its annual geranium and flower sale is under way.

There will be no public sale, but orders will be taken and no-contact deliveries will be made.

Premium hybrid zonal 4.5-inch geraniums are $5 a piece in the colors of red, white, salmon, pink and violet. Premium hybrid zonal six-inch geraniums are $8 a piece and also available in the colors of red, white, salmon, pink and violet.

New this year is the addition of both begonia bedding plants (red, white, pink or mix) and impatiens bedding plants (red, white, rose, violet, salmon or mix) at $15 per flat (18 plants per flat).

There are seven different types of 10-inch hanging baskets to choose from at $20 a piece: Geranium (various colors), calibrachoa, impatiens, petunia, dragon wing begonia, spring mix and scaevola. Also available are 12-inch patio pots with either geraniums (red, white, pink, violet or salmon) or gerbera daisies (various colors) at $25 each.

Flowers will be personally delivered to customers on Saturday, May 1 or after in time for Mother’s Day.

Orders and payment are due by April 1. Order forms can be found at Roachdale Hardware. Forms may also be requested by email and sent to williad1985@gmail.com.

The proceeds from the sale go toward scholarships and other community philanthropy.
