Fly Like an Eagle, Run Like a Deere

In celebration of National FFA Week, several members of the South Putnam Middle School/High School FFA chapter drove tractors to school on Thursday, including (from left) a John Deere 3010 Diesel driven by sixth-grader Garrett Hutcheson, a Case IH 485 driven by freshman Eli Chandler, a Case IH 75C driven by junior Bryce Chandler and a John Deere 8100 driven by junior J.D. Cash. With temperatures hovering in the high 20s Thursday morning, Hutcheson and Eli Chandler had especially frigid rides on their open-air models, traveling 10 and eight miles, respectively. Local FFA chapters at South Putnam, North Putnam and Cloverdale have celebrated their organization in a variety of ways throughout the week.
