Jackson said she was driving from east to west across the parking lot when the collision occurred. Witnesses said Jackson was driving across the lot, perpendicular to the parking rows, when her vehicle reportedly T-boned the Dismukes car.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated three recent property-damage crashes.

• At 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Terry Bowling, 57, Darlington, was southbound on U.S. 231 in a 2006 Ford Ranger. Dustin Scott, 40, Greencastle, was northbound in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze.

Bowling told Deputy Tanner Brown that while he was driving over a bridge, he struck ice and lost control, crossing into the northbound lane and hitting Scott’s car. The pickup then spun before coming to a stop.

Scott told Brown he was northbound but had no memory of the accident.

Tire marks indicated that after impact, Scott’s vehicle slid right and made minor contact with the guardrail with the rear-passenger side.
