Robert Lee ‘Bob’ Crawley

Robert Lee (Bob) Crawley passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 surrounded by his family and holding the hand of the love of his life, Bonnie.

Born in Greencastle, Bob was the son of Glen Crawley and Anna Marie (Higgins) Crawley.

He was a United States veteran, serving in the Army National Guard. Bob also worked at DePauw University for 32 years, retiring in 2001.

Bob married Bonnie Burch (Crawley) on Dec. 5, 1964, and she survives, along with his four children, Rob Crawley, Roni McMains (Ronald), Lisa Clark and Jason Crawley (Chana Stewart).

Survivors also include six grandchildren, Ashley Jackson, Ryan McMains, Morgan Clark (John Carpenter), Emily Bell (Andy), Tegan Crawley (Michael Wallen) and Kelsey Heller; and six great-grandchildren, Raelynn Clark, Kenadie Jackson, Kaiden Bell, Ryder Crawley, Charlotte Wallen and Bently Heller.

He’s also survived by in-laws Bill Miller (Fran), Martha Sullivan (Sparky), Carolyn Morgan, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen Edward and sister Carolyn, son-in-law Roy Clark and grandchildren Misty Brooke Clark and Steven Roy Clark.

“A good man is one whose warmth, wisdom and humor have earned him the respect of his friends and family. Someone who makes this world a better place in which to live.” That describes Bob Crawley.

A celebration of life will be held at the Reelsville Firehouse on July 10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
