Brenda Kay Renner

Brenda Kay Renner, 65, of Goshen, passed away at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born on July 18, 1955 in Greencastle to Earl Wayne and Denola Luverne (Caudill) Evens.

She graduated in 1974 from Greencastle High School and was married on March 2, 1974 in Greencastle to Robert C. “Bob” Renner, who survives.

She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Homecrest Cabinetry and Walmart, both in Goshen. She grew up in Greencastle and moved to the New Paris/Goshen area in August 1977.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards or dice games with them. She especially loved being a grandma and great-grandma. She also liked sitting at her kitchen window watching the different birds come to her bird feeder, especially the hummingbirds.

She is survived by husband Bob Renner of Goshen; three daughters, Tresia (Keven) Rockenbaugh of Millersburg, Melissa Renner of Millersburg and Sylvia Renner of Goshen; two sons, Shane (Suzanne) Renner of Nappanee and Evan Renner of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Deborah (Joe) Kirby of Cloverdale and Cathy (Mark) Rossok of Fincastle; and brother Martin (Robin) Evens of Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Earl “Lefty” and Mabel Evens and Edward and Novella Caudill; and stepmother Lola Bee Mize Evens.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw. A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date. Burial will be in the New Paris Cemetery at a later date.

Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
