Russell Lee Cash

Russell Lee Cash, 86, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Born Nov. 14, 1934 in Putnam County, he was the son of Earl and Lela Arnold Cash.

He was a graduate of Fillmore High School.

Russell served two years in the U.S. Army and spent most of his life on his small farm.

Survivors include three sons, Bradley Cash, Brent Cash (Shannon) and Bart Cash (Kathy); two daughters, Deanna Livesay (Laren) and Dana Fowler (Brian); stepdaughter LouAnn Gilliland (Jerry); a brother, Verlin Cash; a sister, Darlene Brattain; a sister-in-law, Mary Cash; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife June Cash; two sisters, Betty Jordan and Freda Minkler (George Minkler, Wayne Robert Nelson); brother Donald Cash; brother-in-law Ray Brattain; sister-in-law Lois Mae Cash; and stepson David White Jr.

Graveside services for Russell will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 24 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle with Pastor John Nees officiating.
