Family Fun Day

With a little something for everybody, Family Fun Day at the 2021 Putnam County Fair was a big hit Wednesday. With auctioneer Jeff Rich, who also served as this year’s Fair Parade grand marshal, getting ready for bidders, 2021 Fair Queen Gayle Baugh struts her stuff with one of the 24 donated purses sold this year, encouraging bidders during the annual Purse Auction. Filled with goodies like gift cards and even wads of cash, the purse sale raised $3,010. The funds will be used for upkeep and any additions necessary for the Adult Open Class Building.

Meanwhile, the afternoon program begins with a treadle sewing machine contest. Making operating the Red Eye Singer Treadle Machine look easy, 11-year-old Wyatt Clark of Brazil smiles as master of ceremonies Anita Peters applauds his work.
