Thursday, August 5, 2021

Community members and local businesses are invited to learn more about the Putnam County Leadership Academy and build its cohort for 2021.

The 12-week program will be facilitated by Karen Nelson-Heavin of Heavin College and Career Readiness Services and focus on leadership styles, communication, personal development and community immersion.

The program is an initiative of the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center in partnership with the Association of Leadership Programs, the Indiana Leadership Association and the Putnam County Community Foundation.

The cost per participant is $575. Classes will meet on Monday afternoons with outside opportunities for networking and discussion.

The Putnam County Leadership Academy was revived last year after not being held since the early 1990s.

Persons may contact Nelson-Heavin at karen@heavinccr.com or 765-720-5598 for more information or to inquire about an application.

  • Great to see the leadership academy revived and doing well. The common denominator in every great community is that it has an ample supply of good leaders. Thanks to those visionaries that have put the leadership academy in place.
