Mary Jane Tesmer

Mary Jane Tesmer, 69, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021.

Born Feb. 27, 1952 in Norwalk, Ohio, she was the daughter of Theodore and Ruth Elizabeth (Lutz) Tesmer.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School, Liberty Bible College in Lynchford, Va., in 1974 and went back to school to receive her nurse’s training.

Mary Jane managed a bed-and-breakfast in Greencastle for several years. She had also served as an adult caregiver and respiratory therapist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Ted, Jerry, Dan and John Tesmer; and her sisters, Barbara Williams and June Weed.

She is survived by her sister, Judy (Charles) Foster; sisters-in-law Marcia Tesmer and Charmaine Tesmer; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24 at the Pinelawn Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
