County Jail

Thirteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 7:02 p.m. Patrick J. Ford, 54, Avon, was lodged at the jail on a warrant for battery resulting in bodily injury.

• At 6:31 p.m., Sandra R. Sanchez, 34, Greencastle, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

Saturday

• At 1:02 p.m. Autumn D. McCord, 35, Greencastle, was booked in on a warrant for domestic battery.

• At 1:53 a.m. Arthur Bressman, 28, Spencer, was housed at the jail on a warrant for driving without ever receiving a license.

Friday

• At 11:48 a.m. Tracy J. Hausdorfer, 21, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on warrants for battery, battery resulting in bodily injury, battery by bodily waste, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

• At 11:31 a.m. Eddie D. Henson, 62, Greencastle, was taken into custody for intimidation.

Thursday

• At 8:26 p.m. Gregory A. Boswell, 53, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for possession of a syringe and unlawful possession of a syringe.

• At 6:04 p.m. Jerod A. Gruenholz, 47, Fillmore, was taken into custody for resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license.

• At 12:41 p.m. Brittanie N. Kelley, 33, Terre Haute, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 9:38 a.m. Dennis L. Blakely, 44, Indianapolis, was booked in for nonsupport of a dependent.

• At 2:36 a.m. James E. Wilson III, 29, Clayton, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

City Police

A three-vehicle accident early Sunday resulted in a Parke County man’s arrest on alcohol-related charges, Greencastle City Police report.

• At 12:41 a.m., Bruce Fuller, 69, Rockville, was arrested by Officer Alec Pettit for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, endangering a person. Fuller reportedly registered a blood-alcohol concentration of .296 percent, more than three times the legal limit, before being lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Driving a 2011 Mazda Miata, Fuller was northbound on North Jackson Street, south of the viaduct, when he reportedly crossed the centerline and sideswiped the rear driver’s side and quarter-panel of a southbound 2002 Toyota RAV 4, owned by Perry and Rose Wainman, Greencastle, and driven by Riley Wainman, 15, on a learner’s permit.

The Miata, which incurred heavy front-end damage, then struck the front end of a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Michael Yeley Jr., 30, Poland, who had come to a stop.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

GPD officers also investigated two other recent accidents.

• At 3:43 p.m. Aug. 17, a two-car mishap was reported on the lot of the Speedway station at Round Barn and Indianapolis roads.

Bobby Coffey, 19, Indianapolis, was eastbound in the lot toward the Round Barn Road exit, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz. After looking down momentarily, Coffey collided with a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Jackie Mullenix, 33, Centerpoint, who had pulled into the lot was waiting for a vehicle to back out of a parking space.

Total damage in the mishap was listed at $2,500-$5,000.

Coffey was cited by Officer Nick Eastham for operating without financial responsibility.

• At 2:51 p.m. Aug. 17, a two-car accident occurred at Warren Drive and Avenue D, Sgt. Chris Jones reported.

Mary Beam, 57, Clinton, was reportedly northbound on Warren Drive, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, approaching Avenue D. She reportedly signaled to turn left onto Avenue D and did not see a southbound 2016 Chrysler 300, driven by Brittaney Cunningham, 23, Cloverdale, and a collision occurred.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

A pair of summons were issued recently by city officers.

• At 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Amber Dreiman, 38, Cloverdale, was cited by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Stopped at Percy Julian Drive and Avenue D, Dreiman was issued a summons for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

• At 10:21 p.m. Saturday, Billy Buehler, 37, Greencastle, was cited by Officer McDaniel.

Stopped on Washington Street, Buehler was issued a summons into court for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense and for possession of marijuana.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to six recent incidents:

• At 3:04 p.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle incident with injuries at CVS Pharmacy. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 3:07 and assisted with patient care. GFD went back into service at 3:15 p.m.

• At 7 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 484 Glenview Dr. for a smoke investigation. Firefighters arrived at 7:07 and were advised that smoke was coming from the air conditioner. The motor was hot and the air conditioner was shut off. GFD made sure there was no fire and that power was secured. GFD went back into service at 7:23 p.m.

• At 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 304 W. Liberty St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10 a.m. and determined the alarm had malfunctioned. The battery was removed and the alarm was silenced. GFD went back into service at 10:11 a.m.

• At 10:54 p.m. on Saturday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident without injuries near Alpha Company Tumbling and Cheer. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 10:58 and cleaned debris and fluid from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 11:32 p.m.

• At 11:56 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to Pi Beta Phi on the DePauw University campus for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at midnight and were advised that the property was being renovated. The alarm was reset. GFD went back into service at 12:15 a.m. Monday.

• At 11:35 a.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 21 N. Indiana St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:39 and were advised that the alarm was being tested. GFD went back into service at 11:42 a.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed seven medical assists and one coroner assist.
