Senior Health Fair postponed until spring

Putnam County Hospital has made the decision to postpone the 2021 Senior Health Fair.

The announcement was made on the PCH Facebook page Tuesday morning.

Due to a rise in COVID-19 cases, hospital officials believe it is in the best interest to wait until the spring of 2022. A date in April should be announced soon.

However, flu vaccines, which are a focus of the Senior Health Fair each year, remain available to the community.

On Saturday, Sept. 18, PCH will be administering high-dose flu shots at three clinics in the community.

To schedule an appointment, call Family Medicine of Cloverdale at 795-4242, Putnam Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at 301-7400 or North Putnam Family Health Care at 301-7679.

Didn’t a hospital employee just say three weeks ago that our COVID numbers looked good and that it was safe to hold a music festival? The hospital may want to check its priorities.

There was a recent CNN Wire article talking about how there's been a 240% increase in child Covid-19 cases since July.

The thing I find interesting about this claim (or fact?) is how this never appeared to be the situation before any vaccines were rolled out...

Let that simmer.

And today the IN Dept of Health website shows Putnam Co. just turned RED, just two weeks after Greencastle Music Fest. Coincidental, I doubt it.
