Anthony Jayson Clodfelter, age 49, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021.

He was born Feb. 27, 1972 in Grosse Pointe, Mich.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughters Elise (Birmingham, Ala.) and Lauren; his mom, Deanna Brann and stepdad Roger Monforton (both of Lenoir City, Tenn.); his aunt, Cindy Towne (Morton); his uncle, Charley Brann (Greencastle); and many cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.

Anthony was preceded in death by his dad, Jayson Lee Clodfelter.

A self-taught “IT guy” (or computer genius?), Anthony’s natural aptitude and endless curiosity about computers starting at a young age led to a successful career of 25 years in the IT field and a lifelong role as “tech-support” for his family.

Anthony last worked as a senior systems administrator at Oak Ridge National Labs, a dream job that earned him both industry recognition awards and cherished co-worker friendships.

Anthony loved his family and all of the special memories created over the years, whether traveling for his daughters’ soccer tournaments and dance competitions or going on family vacations. An avid outdoorsman, he took every opportunity to drop a line at local fishing holes and enjoyed hunting cabin weekends with his friends in Pioneer, Tenn. But Anthony was also always content to enjoy a quiet evening at home with “his girls,” two dogs and cat.

Though a quiet man, Anthony was a deep, philosophical thinker who relished intellectual discourse over small talk. At his heart, Anthony was a most kind and gentle soul. He is loved and missed by so many.

A celebration of life will be held at the Saratoga Pavilion of Anchor Park in Farragut, Tenn., on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 1-5 p.m.
