Mike Owens

Michael Allan Owens, 64, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 in IU West Hospital, Avon, after a battle with cancer.

He was born on Feb. 4, 1957 to Alvin C. Owens and Phyllis L. Owens.

On April 23, 1978, he married Tina L. Rominger, and they had two children and two granddaughters — a son, Michael Allan Owens Jr., and a granddaughter, Hayley Jude Owens, and a daughter, Amber Michelle Owens (Evan Jones), and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Jayde Jones, all of Greencastle — whom he loved so much.

Mike is also survived by one brother, Jay Owens of Greencastle, and 11 sisters, Linda (Ronnie) Harrison of Eubank, Ky., Lana (Joseph) Bilbery of Chandler, Ariz., Kathy Meece of Sommerset, Ky., Debbie (Lanny) Applegate of Plainfield, Judy (Brent) Clark of Roachdale, Melany Sandman of Fort Wayne, Kate Simmons of Florida, Tami Maslyk of Carmel, Pam (Kris) Henthorn of Trafalgar, Lori (Kendall) Bielko of Columbia City and Sheila (Shan) Whitton of Greenwood.

Mike was preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Donna Jean.

Arrangements are being handled by Samaritan Funeral Home, Terre Haute.
