Norman Eugene Dunn, 85, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 at Putnam County Hospital.

Norman was born in Greencastle on Oct. 18, 1935, the son of Morris Leon and Catherine V. (Whitted) Dunn.

Mr. Dunn worked for many years with IBM until his retirement in 1987. Norman proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie Wood (Donnie) and Diana Wall; a brother, Rex Dunn (Sharon); nine grandchildren, Brandon Downing (Katie), Justin Downing (Melanie), Brittany Rominger, Jessica Shaff (Jonathan), Amanda Ballenger (Troy), Chris Wood (Michelle), Derek Dunn (Melinda), Danielle Dunn and Josh Dunn; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca (Simmerman) Dunn; two sons, Kevin E. Dunn and Richard Dunn; a brother, Carl Dunn; a sister, Jeannine Christian; and a great-granddaughter, Hadley Downing.

At his request, a cremation will take place. A graveside memorial service with military honors will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
