Bonnie Jean Shouse

Bonnie Jean Shouse, 90, of Reelsville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021.

Born July 12, 1931 in Mason City, Iowa, she was the daughter of George and Edna (Hargeshiner) Johnson.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Bonnie had retired from the Indiana State Farm Correctional Facility, where she had worked as the head payroll clerk for several years. She was a member of Big Walnut Baptist Church, the Red Hat Society and loved to quilt, read, travel and be with family.

She is survived by her sons, Mike (Patty) Shouse, Jack (Martha) Shouse and Jay (LeAnne) Shouse; sister Shirley Lundy; brother Marvin (Helen) Johnson; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tommy Shouse; and sister Mildred Tannehill.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Putnamville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and prior to services at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m.
