Helen Elaine Noble, 86, of Greencastle passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 at Asbury Towers in Greencastle.

Helen was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on May 25, 1935, the daughter of William Noble and Catherine Matilda (Callagnan) Gorman

She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, Pa.

Mrs. Noble worked as a keypunch operator for Insurance Company of North America in Philadelphia from 1952 to 1956; Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, in Perkasie, Pa., from 1970 to 1976; Fendt Finding Company, Hatfield, Pa., from 1970 to 1989; and as a receptionist for B&R Fire Extinguisher in Greencastle.

She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Paul Ladies Guild and Happier Homes Extension Club. Helen also served as a sacristan at St. Paul and volunteered at Christmas Store for Catholic Charities in Terre Haute.

Survivors include two daughters, Terry Noble of Greencastle, and Mary Jo Lerch (husband David) of Quakertown, Pa.; a granddaughter, Amanda Marie Lerch; a niece, Regina Oreskovich (husband Rudy); and a nephew, Bill Caster and wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Joseph Leo Noble; and a sister, Catherine Kester.

A private family mass will be held at a later date with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
