Avery Wampler

Avery Wampler, age 91, Amo, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021.

Born Nov. 28, 1929 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Jacob Hirt and Thelma (Koessler) Hirt.

She married John Philip Wampler, and he preceded her in 2013.

Avery was a registered nurse.

Her survivors include four children, Julia Matlock and husband Bill, Stilesville, Jennifer Greeson and husband Kelly, Amo, Laura Ward and husband Bill, Plainfield, and Jim Wampler and wife Cindy, Zionsville; grandchildren Joshua Glaze, and wife Monica, Waveland, Sarah Glaze, Danville, Cassie Broyles and husband Cody, Plainfield, Nicholas Greeson, Crawfordsville, Jason Wampler and wife Tess, West Virginia, Hillary Heimansohn and husband Henry, Plainfield, Mary Johnson and husband Brandon, Amo, Trent Tomblin, Plainfield, Zachary Wampler and wife Hannah, Zionsville, and Bennett Wampler, Zionsville; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, son John Wesley Wampler, brothers Jacob and Louie Hirt, and sister Martha Newkirk preceded her.

A gathering will be Wednesday, Nov. 3 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville, with memorial services at 2 p.m. with Pastor Shelly Zook officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Amo Cemetery.
