Keary Len Lundy

Keary Len Lundy, 48, of Greencastle, passed away from COVID on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at Union Hospital surrounded by his family.

Keary was born in Daviess County on Jan. 18, 1973 to Leland “Lee” and Betty “Janette” Lundy.

He attended Barr Reeve School in Montgomery, Ind., until his sophomore year when he began school at Northview High School in Brazil. He graduated from Northview High School in 1992.

Keary graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in maintenance.

He was a maintenance journeyman at IAC in Greencastle for 20 years before recently going to work at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis.

He loved spending time with his children and family, playing games and cooking for them.

Keary was an assistant coach for his daughter’s softball team. He loved deer hunting, fishing and working in his garage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leland (Lee) Lundy; grandparents Woodrow and Martha Lundy and Edward and Betty Melton.

Keary leaves his two children Colin and Annabelle Lundy, whom he loved dearly. Also his mother, Betty Janette Lundy and brother Gary Lundy; one sister, Sherry Benge; uncles, Steve Lundy (Lori), Bob Melton (Anita), Jim Melton and Joe Melton (Margaret); one aunt, Sue Baker; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at the St. John’s Cemetery in Loogootee.
