Shirley Lou King

Shirley Lou King, 80, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at Putnam County Hospital.

Shirley was born in Greencastle on Oct. 27, 1941, the daughter of Charles and Geraldine (York) Smiley.

She was a graduate of Reelsville School.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clifford King; four children, Deanna Pruitt (Harry), Marsha Sunkel (Doug), Jeff King (Jenny) and Greg King (Julia); two brothers, Harold Smiley and Richard Smiley (Sandra); a sister, Brenda Keeney (Lonnie); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifford Smiley and Keith Smiley; and a sister, Darlene Bell.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
