Charles Edward Brown Sr.

Charles Edward Brown Sr., 72, of Cloverdale, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at home surrounded by family.

He was born March 8, 1949 in Liberty, Ky., to the late Elmer Brown and Lillie Brown.

He married Mary Creek on Dec. 6, 1965. She preceded him in death Jan. 4, 2014.

He is survived by his children, Lillie Mae Helton and husband Terry, Charlotte Michelle Nicholson and husband Robbie, Charles Edward Brown Jr. and wife Dawn and Johnnie Christopher Brown and wife Brittany; six grandchildren; five great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters ... soon to be four; his partner, Phyliss Gaddis; brother Ray Brown and wife Sara; sisters-in-law Nancy Brown and Thereasa Cornette; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenn, Edith, Jay, Bobby, Peggy, Mary and Sue.

Services for Charlie will be held Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held from noon until service time.
