Butts seeks another term as trustee of Greencastle Township
Having served as Greencastle Township trustee since 2011, Steve Butts is seeking a fourth term in office.
The Greencastle Republican recently announced his candidacy to again serve the residents of Greencastle Township.
I would like to update you on your Greencastle Township. We are still financially strong after the pandemic.
We have provided applications to all that have requested one.
Working with Senator Rodric Bray’s office, I believe we are the only township in the state that provides drug discount cards for all residents. In turn, this has reduced our expenditures to drugstores.
The township has provided $525,000 for new fire equipment over the last few years and is maintaining a contact with the City of Greencastle for outstanding service and lower insurance rates.
Please visit our cemetery north of Hanna Street. It is almost 60 percent restored, including new fencing that came in under budget.
