Hopin' to get me some trees! :)

Big public THANK YOU to Buzzi Unicem USA, and anyone else involved in this giveaway.

If you are coming for trees:

    1) Do your research! These are great North American native trees that have different keys for success. Keep in mind how big they will get, whether a canopy or understory story, soil reqs, pests/diseases/problems, etc...

    2) IF YOU GET PAW PAW trees... and are hoping for Paw Paw fruit... it can take up to 5-7 years before you see any, you need genetic diversity between trees for fruit production, and there is a chance you may not get fruit anyway. The paw paw flower is pollinated by only a few types of flies and beetles. You may need to attract pollinators, also hand-pollinating is an option from what I have read.

  • My pawpaws only fruit every other year and I have to race the squirrels to get them.
