Robert Clay ‘Bob’ Miles

Robert Clay “Bob” Miles, 90, known by his bricklayer friends as “Mousey,” went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2022 while at Mill Pond Rehab in Greencastle.

A resident of Heritage Lake, Coatesville, Bob loved to fish, bird hunt, garden and play pool.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Donna Mae (Blois) Miles, and four children, Carla Beth Huestis Wilson (Greg), Loretta Jane Pingleton Bales, William Neal Miles (Lori) and Robert Kell Miles (Tammy).

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Edward Miles, and grandson Robert Tyler Miles.

The Miles family includes 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Bob’s sisters are Beverly Ann Miles Smyth (John) and Linda Carol Miles Wineman (Larry). Deceased brothers were Donald Lee Miles and Freddie Wayne Miles (Lavonna).

Bob was born Sept. 16, 1931 to Robert Leroy Miles and Julia Jean O’Hair Miles Bachert.

Bob graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1949. He served in Korea in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant.

May 10 would have been Bob and Donna Miles’ 70th wedding anniversary.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church (State Road 75, just north of U.S. 40) at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Bainbridge Cemetery following services.
