With rain falling for much of the earlier parts of the day and more forecast as the afternoon and evening wear on, outdoor First Friday activities in downtown Greencastle have been canceled.

Main Street Greencastle made the announcement via Facebook late Friday morning noting, “We simply can’t have an event in this weather. Bands can’t play, games can’t be set up and vendors can’t have booths.”

There will still be a number of activities going on in downtown Greencastle, including:

- Almost Home Restaurant & Swizzle Stick Bar is hosting music by Kade Puckett from 7-9:30 p.m.

- Moore’s Bar & Grill will be moving Hometown Haven inside and playing from 7-10 p.m.

- Granola Girl Skincare, 105 E. Washington St., will have its ribbon cutting at 5 p.m.

- The Whisk opens its doors downstairs at 16 S. Jackson St. at 6 p.m. to kick off Derby weekend.

- Hashtag Harmony, Burdge Boots & Boutique, Blushing Beaus and The Bearded Painter are all still open for some shopping

- 10-Fold Projects, 10 W. Washington St., will be open with activities this evening.
