Horsepower for Horses

With 28 motorcycles having run in the eighth-annual Charlie Johnston Memorial Ride, organizers Keith and Tina Johnston present a check for $4,075 to Lakeland Center Executive Director Christy Menke (center) Friday morning. Located in Coatesville, the Lakeland Center’s programming centers on therapeutic horseback riding research. The ride is held in memory of the Fillmore volunteer firefighter who was killed in a collision in 2013, with proceeds having supported a number of organizations.
