County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Friday

• At 1:54 a.m. Jacob M. Joseph, 21, LaPorte, was lodged at the jail for strangulation.

Thursday

• At 2:04 p.m. Derick S. Pemberton, 26, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for child solicitation.

• At 12:41 p.m. Arthur E. Kenworthy, 48, Danville, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine and criminal trespass.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two incidents since Thursday evening:

• At 5:29 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 814 Stadium Dr. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:34 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The property was ventilated by the time they arrived. GFD went back into service at 5:42 p.m.

• At 10:24 a.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to the apartments at 330 Greenwood Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10:27 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was reset. GFD went back into service at 10:31 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed eight medical assists and found no incident on one run around this timeframe.
