Fair passes on sale early at reduced fee

Monday, July 4, 2022

The Putnam County Fair Board is encouraging fair-goers to save a little money this year with the early purchase of its annual parking pass for $15.

Starting on the first Saturday of the fair, the gate will be collecting parking fees, and the passes go up to $20 each at the gate.

The cost for a one-time vehicle entry remains at $5 this year. There are no pass-outs for re-entry to the fair.

Early parking passes can be purchased after July 5 at area feed mills, the 4-H office in Greencastle and Roachdale banks.

The Fair Board will also have early pass prices available at the Producers Building on location at the fairgrounds during the first Friday only, July 22, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Everyone is encouraged to get theirs and save some cash.

During the fair, entrants are asked to use the right lane at the entrance with their weekly pass in hand and outside the window. Volunteers will help get to a parking spot as soon as possible. However, all are asked to slow down and understand that they are there helping to make it another great Putnam County Fair.

The Putnam County Fair Board does not receive tax money for operating cost, and parking fees each year make-up a majority of the fair’s income. All are asked to be patient and help continue to make this jewel of our county a continued success.

Plan ahead, bring a pass and be kind to volunteers.

See you at the Fair, July 22-29.
