Beyond Homeless to host event on human trafficking awareness

Every 30 seconds another person becomes a victim of human trafficking.

On Thursday, Beyond Homeless Inc., in conjunction with the Indiana Victims Assistance Program will present “Human Trafficking: An Awareness Event.”

This informative session will highlight human trafficking as well as victim targeting, grooming and how homelessness can play a part.

Most importantly, there will be a focus on the available programs and services that allow victims to escape traffickers, hear and live their lives without fear.

The event will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Doc’s Inn, 126 E. Washington St., Greencastle.
