Marcy and Bob Campbell

BAINBRIDGE — As a retired Greencastle firefighter, Bob Campbell is no stranger to battling something that is seemingly out of control.

But in his current fight against an aggressive form of prostate cancer, Campbell is in the fight of his life.

To help Bob and wife Marcy with medical expenses, friends will be hosting the Back the Beard fundraiser for the Campbells on Saturday, July 16 from noon-4 p.m. at the Bainbridge Community Center.

The event will include a cornhole tournament, auction items, a raffle, music and food available for purchase.

Registration for the cornhole tournament will be from 11 a.m.-noon, though organizers are hoping to get an accurate county ahead of time. Anyone interested in taking part in the tournament is asked to the Back the Beard page on Facebook to learn more and register.

  • This was an AMAZING even for an AMAZING family! Great to see Bob looking so good even after his many treatments! Marcy was a peach like always! Great job Julie Gibson on the pie smashing - sorry Eric! Many prayers still coming for the Campbells!
