County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 5:55 p.m. Makayla J. Lis, 19, Greencastle, was taken into custody for cruelty to an animal.

• At 5:42 p.m. James E. Loyd, 48, Brazil, was housed at the jail for invasion of privacy.

• At 12:23 a.m. Jessica D. Kincaid, 43, Spencer, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia.

Saturday

• At 12:17 a.m. Karen S. Crosley, 62, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction and driving with an ACE of .15 or greater with a prior conviction.

Friday

• At 10:15 p.m. Ronald D. Teague, 59, Reelsville, was housed at the jail for driving with an ACE of .08 or greater and driving while intoxicated endangering a person.

• At 2:09 p.m. Zachary W. Malone, 38, Plainfield, was booked in for domestic battery.

Thursday

• At 6:31 p.m. Matthew C. Terry, 18, Fillmore, was taken into custody on a warrant.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 12:17 a.m. Saturday, Ryan J. McFarland, 27, Victorville, Calif., was arrested by Officer Angela Taylor.

Taken into custody at 3G Bowl on South Jackson Street, McFarland was lodged in the Putnam County Jail for criminal trespass and public intoxication. He registered .285 percent blood-alcohol concentration after portable breathalyzer testing.

• At 11:19 p.m. Thursday, Terry T. Maynard, 33, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped at Indianapolis Road and Longcastle Drive, Maynard was lodged at the jail on a Putnam County warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of theft.

Two local drivers were issued summons recently by city officers:

• At 1:26 a.m. Friday, Victor Lee, 24, Greencastle, was issued a summons into court by Officer Justin Herd.

Stopped at Bloomington Street and Veterans Memorial Highway, Lee was given a summons for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

• At 1:47 a.m. Thursday, Christina Stark, 34, Greencastle, was issued a summons into court by Officer Brown.

Stopped at Bloomington Street and Veterans Memorial Highway, Stark was given a summons for being an operator never licensed.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to the following recent incident.

• At 11:11 p.m. on Thursday, GFD received a good intent call about a smoke detector at 111 Woods Edge Blvd. Firefighters arrived at 11:16 and determined that the detector’s batteries needed replaced. GFD went back into service at 11:39 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed nine medical assists, had one disregard and found no incident on one dispatch during this timeframe.
