Steven Wayne Foxx

Steven Wayne Foxx, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.

Steve was born on Oct. 12, 1948 in Greencastle to the late Donald and Freda Foxx and grew up in a large extended family.

He was very involved with Boy Scouts, eventually earning his Eagle Scout.

After graduation from Greencastle High School in 1966, Steve attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Following graduation, Steve returned to Indiana and met Sue, the girl next door, and they were married in 1974. They shared 48 years of living and working in Indianapolis.

Steve managed several restaurants, sold restaurant equipment for Edward Don and did interior design for Decorating Den and Kirk Furniture.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sue (Lothman) Foxx; daughter Elizabeth “Libby” Mora; son-in-law Stuart Mora; grandchildren Blaise and Franny Mora; sister Brenda Lothman; and a long list of extended family and friends.

Friends and family will gather at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 5692 Central Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220, to celebrate Steve’s life with a memorial mass on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church beginning at 9 a.m. Steve’s ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Boy Scout Troop 174.
