Sylvia I. Query

Sylvia I. Query, age 86, of Greencastle, passed away July 27, 2022.

She was born Aug. 17, 1935 in Reelsville to the late Ren and Faye (Giltz) McCullough.

She married Chester Query Aug. 9, 1953 and he survives.

She worked for South Putnam Schools as treasurer for nearly 40 years. She was a member of the Greencastle Eastern Star and a Past Worthy Matron, and was a lifetime member of the Greencastle Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Rick Query, and his wife June; grandchildren Melanie Myers and husband Chuck and David Query and his wife Donicca; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Sylvia will be held Thursday, Aug, 4 at 1 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time. Entombment will take place following services at Cloverdale Cemetery.
