Welcome Back

Returning to school to find a new principal, Ridpath Primary School students walk from the bus to the school Wednesday morning to fist bumps and high fives from Principal Brandon Roberts, who was hired last month. There were some first-day hiccups that are to be expected — a few crying kindergartners and lunchboxes left on buses — but the new principal said he was loving the first-day energy. While Greencastle Community Schools began the school year on Wednesday, other county schools will not resume until next week. Cloverdale, South Putnam and Area 30 resume on Tuesday, Aug. 9, followed by North Putnam on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
