Lyndall D. (Haltom) Bixler

Lyndall D. (Haltom) Bixler, 81, of Cloverdale, passed away on Aug. 12, 2022.

She was born April 22, 1941 in Cloverdale to the late Leon “Mike” Haltom and Ione (Clupper) Haltom Smythe.

Her world revolved around children, and she took immense pride in her 45 years educating and nurturing children as a beloved instructional assistant at Cloverdale Elementary School, in addition to being a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lyndall is survived by her daughters, Jacque Minnick and husband Mike of Cloverdale, Tricia Costin and husband Rob of Greencastle and Sandi Price of Cloverdale, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and brother Glenn “Lannie/Chops” Haltom and wife Jana.

In addition to her parents, Lyndall was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Jack Bixler, infant daughter Jennifer Bixler, son-in-law Darin Price, granddaughter Mariah (Herron) Moore and siblings Charlene Freeman, Jon “Toot” Haltom, Gary Haltom, Patti Paris and Mardenna Boler.

Funeral Services for Lyndall will be held Saturday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 19 from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Cloverdale Cemetery.
