With a simple coat of white over the brick wall, Bryan Tyler of Tyler Painting prepares the west wall of the Putnam County Convention and Visitors Bureau for the Putnam County Mural Festival, which is set to take place Sept. 11-24, culminating with a block party celebration in Greencastle on Friday, Sept. 23 and a brief dedication ceremony of two murals in Roachdale during that town’s Rib and Blues Festival on Saturday, Sept. 24. A series of stories in upcoming editions of the Banner Graphic will introduce the artists installing each of the five new murals around the county.
