CSX provides scheduling for railroad work

CSX’s scheduling and safety consultant has provided the following work schedule update as of Friday morning, Greencastle Mayor Bill Dory has announced.

In most cases, the crossings will be closed from two to three days. The schedule is subject to last-minute changes. Private rail crossings in the vicinity of these public crossings may be impacted at the same time.

Monday, Aug. 22

-- CR 450 North

-- CR 200 North

-- CR 175 North

-- CR 100 East

-- U.S. 231/Jackson Street

The College Avenue crossing will remain open to be closed for rework at a future date.

Tuesday, Aug.23

-- CR 25 East

-- Barnaby Mill Road

-- Madison Street

-- Jacob Street

Note that the Liberty Street crossing will remain open.

Wednesday, Aug. 24

-- Columbia Street

-- West Walnut Street

-- Private rail crossing on DPU campus

Note that the South Jackson Street crossing will remain open.

Thursday, Aug 25

-- CR 550 South

College Avenue, South Jackson Street and Liberty Street will remain open with a follow-up crew to rework these crossings in the future.

  • Barnaby Mill is a dead end. Should we plan to be off work 2 to 3 days?
