Claudia Ann Clark

Claudia Ann Clark, 66, of Greencastle passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 at her home.

Born April 21, 1956, Claudia was the daughter of Lois (York) and Marvin Clark.

She attended Jones Elementary School and graduated from Greencastle High School in 1974, where she was active as a pianist, oboist, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in all of the GHS music programs. She earned a degree from Indiana Business College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana State University.

She worked in a number of jobs throughout the years, including several years with Stafford Accounting in Greencastle, Public Service Indiana, Auburn University and Indiana State University.

Claudia traveled extensively and gained a wide circle of friends and loved ones from all over the country and the globe. She also had a number of canine and feline friends though out her life, perhaps most beloved of all was her cat, Zenski.

She loved performing and listening to all varieties of music. She was proficient on the piano, guitar and, more recently, the ukulele.

Claudia was a voracious reader. In recent years, she spent a great deal of time with her many Bibles, leaving countless post-it notes to mark special passages. She was baptized into the faith in her youth at First Baptist Church of Greencastle.

Claudia’s mother preceded her in death.

She is survived by her father, brother, Alan (Janice) Clark of North Vernon, stepnieces Amanda (Topher) Morris and Candace (Peter) Gaunt of Indianapolis, stepgreat-nieces and -nephews Mary Cate and Cohen Morris and Evelyn and Oliver Gaunt, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27 at her gravesite in Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
