Cougars third, Eagles fifth, Clovers eighth at WIC Girls’ Golf Match

BRAZIL — North Putnam led the charge at the WIC Girls’ Golf Match for the Putnam County schools, finishing third behind winners Northview and second-place Edgewood.

The Cougars shot 395 with Kylie Dresbach (87) and MaKenna Lough (95) earning All-WIC honors. Gabbi Simonson shot 106, Morgan Mason shot 107 and Kaitlyn Jacobs turned in a 122 to round out the scoring.

The Eagles shot 402, missing out on fourth place by four shots as Indian Creek shot 398. Madie Newby (88) and Alie Newby (94) earned All-WIC honors as well with MaKenzie Lovett shooting 107, Megan Arnold carding a 112 and Ava Watson shooting 113.

The Clovers finished with a round of 473, led by Aliyah Maldonado on 109. Keirsten Wade shot 115, followed by Celeste Terrell on 120, Kaitlyn Kerr on 129 and Autumn Wheeler on 135.

Greencastle was a golfer short of being able to record a team score and was led by Ryleigh Tuttle, who missed on an All-WIC slot with a round of 99. Emma Callahan shot 107 while Jessica Garrison turned in a round of 131.

Northview won the conference title with a round of 349, led by Kyia Fox, who earned medalist honors with a round of 77, one stroke better than teammate Karsyn Kikta on 78.
