The Greencastle Police Department will be conducting a child restraint clinic from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 at the Greencastle Walmart Supercenter.

GPD will be set up in the lawn and garden area of the parking lot, with certified car seat technicians on hand to inspect car seats for the following issues: Whether they properly fit the child, if they are in good working condition, if they are on a recall list, if they are properly installed in the vehicle and if they have gone past their expiration date.

The clinic is being held in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s annual Child Passenger Safety Week, Sept. 18-24.

The clinic is part of GPD’s Permanent Fitting Station Program.

For more information on the proper working and installation of a child restraint system, contact GPD at 653-2925.

Walmart Supercenter is located at 1750 Indianapolis Rd.
