Monday, October 3, 2022

A North Putnam special purpose activity bus was involved in a three-vehicle incident on Interstate 69 Saturday.

In a statement to the Banner Graphic, Director of Operations Terry Tippin said 11 students and an FFA sponsor were returning from an FFA judging contest at the time of the incident, which occurred at the interchange with Interstate 465.

One student was transported to the hospital and checked out before being released, while the others were evaluated at the scene.

While he did not state the extent of the damage, Tippin said the bus was towed.

With it occurring on the interstate, the incident was investigated by the Indiana State Police.
