Phyllis Mae Wells

Phyllis Mae Wells, aged 78, passed from this life on Sept. 21, 2022.

Born on July 26, 1944, her parents were Charles and LaVerne (Phillips) Wells, who preceded her in death.

Phyllis is survived by her brothers, Marvin (Gerri) Wells, Ronald (Carol) Wells, Charles (Marcia) Wells and Allen Wells; her sister, Joyce (Randy) Whybrew; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Phyllis was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Ardell; brother-in-law Bob Ardell; sister-in-law Candice Wells; and a nephew, Derrick Wells.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Phyllis was a faithful employee and worked many years for P. R. Mallory until its closing, Low Bill Grocery and FB Distro.

Fondly known as her family’s “Bingo lady,” she enjoyed her loving family, reading and working with ceramics.

Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Coatesville Cemetery, Coatesville.

Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, friends and family may give a monetary gift to their choice of charity.
