Richard Edward Farris

Richard Edward Farris, 76, of Greencastle, formerly of Spencer, passed away on Oct. 14, 2022, surrounded by family.

He was born March 22, 1946, in Piedmont, W. Va., the son of William and Mary L. Farris.

Richard was a veteran, having served in the United States Army.

He had worked in maintenance for several years.

Richard was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church in Patricksburg.

He married Anna (Zoeller) Farris and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.

Richard is survived by his children, Jacinda Farris, Bradley (wife Angie) Farris, Clinton (wife Tammy) Farris, Tania (husband Rick) Richardson and Brandy (wife Catherine) Farris; grandchildren Nikki, Katie, Bradley, Danielle, Brock, Brooklyn, Jessica, Ashley, Jennifer, James, Wayne and Gabriel; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
