County Jail

Several people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 12:24 a.m. Jeffrey R. Skinner, 64, Poland, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

Sunday

• At 8:07 p.m. Maranda R. Stone, 33, Cloverdale, was taken into custody on a Montgomery County warrant.

• At 2:11 a.m. Brittney A. Thacker, 37, Terre Haute, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Saturday

• At 11:29 p.m. Phillip J. Seaman, 52, Indianapolis, was booked in for driving with an ACE of .08 or more and driving while intoxicated.

• At 12:01 p.m. Nicholas S. Ritz, 33, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

• At 1:04 a.m. Coy R. White, 39, Spencer, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Friday

• At 9:15 p.m. Cole T. B. Cooper, 30, Centerpoint, was housed at the jail for battery on a person less than 14 years old, domestic battery, intimidation and interference with the reporting of a crime.

• At 7:13 p.m. Scott A. McKnight, 49, Cloverdale, was booked in for nonsupport of a dependent child.

• At 6:14 p.m. Zachary Q. Cassady, 24, Greenwood, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

• At 4:49 p.m. Heather L. Crosby, 48, Fillmore, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

Thursday

• At 7:09 p.m. Gregory A. Boswell, 54, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 5:30 p.m. Chris A. Barker, 54, Cloverdale, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a syringe.

• At 11:03 a.m. Kyla A. Fuller, 29, Brownsburg, was lodged at the jail for driving with a suspended license.

• At 10:01 a.m. Zachary E. Bauer, 24, Mooresville, was taken into custody on a pair of out-of-county warrants.

• At 9:31 a.m. Richard C. Waggoner, 38, Brazil, was housed at the jail on a theft.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 5:07 p.m. Saturday, Robert Strickland, 34, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Alec Pettit.

Taken into custody at the College Inn on Bloomington Street, Strickland was arrested on a Putnam County warrant for sexual battery. He was lodged in the

• At 5 p.m. Saturday, Shaun Perkins, 42, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten at the Phillips 66 Mini-Mart on North Jackson Street.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Perkins is being held on charges of resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and trespass.

• At 3:02 p.m. Saturday, Belissa O’Conner, 38, Greencastle, was arrested by Bunten at the Phillips 66 Mini-Mart on North Jackson Street.

Arrested on a Putnam County warrant for welfare fraud, O’Conner was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

One recent traffic citation was issued by city officers:

• At 2:55 a.m. Friday, Joseph Marino-Feliciano, 22, Greencastle, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Stopped at Veterans Memorial Highway and Percy Julian Drive, Marino-Feliciano was cited for 60 mph in a 40-mph zone.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated the following recent property-damage crashes.

• At 1:06 p.m. on Saturday, James E. Webb, 49, Poland, was southbound on U.S. 231 approaching West Lane Road in a 2021 Toyota Sienna. Michael D. Hendricks, 51, Greencastle, was behind Webb in a 2013 GMC Sierra.

Hendricks told Cpl. Brian Helmer that he thought Webb was going to turn onto West Lane Road. Instead, Webb slowed to yield to northbound traffic before doing so.

Hendricks then rear-ended Webb’s minivan.

Helmer estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.

• At 11:41 a.m. on Saturday, Hunter Winslow, 27, Coatesville, was backing out of his driveway onto Heritage Drive in a 2013 Ford F-250. At the same time, Ryan Cole, 23, Bloomington, was backing out of the driveway directly across Heritage Drive in a 2016 Jeep Compass.

The drivers did not see each other as they were backing out, with both sustaining damage to the rear of the vehicles.

Cpl. Scott Ducker noted unsafe backing on both drivers’ parts as contributing factors.

Ducker estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

• At 7:41 a.m. on Saturday, Paige B. Cullison, 33, Roachdale, was westbound on County Road 1350 North in a 2017 GMC Terrain when she hit a deer.

Cpl. Helmer estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one incident going back to Thursday:

• At 3:08 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to assist Greencastle Public Works and the Greencastle Police Department with a power line in trees at the intersection of Albin Pond Road and Ravenswood Drive. Firefighters arrived at 3:14 and CenterPoint Energy was contacted. The power was shut off, and GFD went back into service at 3:25 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed 10 medical assists around this dispatch.
