The Hendricks warrant was for violation of probation on an original charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, endangering a person.

One additional weekend arrest was reported by GPD officers:

• At 7:57 p.m. Saturday, Mykayla M. Blackledge, 27, Fillmore, was arrested at Walmart by Officer Chris Helmer for theft.

Blackledge allegedly took $262.98 worth of clothing, jewelry and cosmetics. She reportedly concealed the articles in the waistband of her pants and elsewhere in her clothes.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated the following recent property-damage crashes.

• At 4:40 a.m. on Monday, Christine Wilson, 64, Cloverdale, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado when she hit a deer.

The pickup was towed. Deputy Josh Clark estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

• At 3:33 p.m. on Sunday, Dustin R. Scobee, 36, Staunton, was going around a corner on County Road 375 North on a 2022 Kawasaki EX4 motorcycle.

As he rounded the corner, Scobee laid down the bike, which then left the road and hit a tree.

Scobee told Cpl. Brian Helmer he was probably going too fast for the corner.

Helmer estimated damage at $1,000-$2,500.

• At 3:06 a.m. on Saturday, Jennifer A. Roach, 50, Oswego, Kan., was eastbound on Interstate 70 in a 2022 Volvo semi tractor pulling a trailer. Roach told Deputy Clark that a vehicle came up and rear-ended the trailer. She said she then saw the vehicle roll four times, coming to rest in the median.

Duquan Robinson, 28, Indianapolis, told Clark he was eastbound in a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro and he swerved to miss a car. He did not, however, remember a semi being involved in the crash, nor did he remember the car rolling.

Upon investigation, Clark said the skid marks, debris and damage to the Camaro were consistent with it having rolled.

Robinson had complaints of pain, so he was checked out by medics, then taken to the hospital before he was cleared to be taken to the jail for driving while intoxicated-refusal as well as disorderly conduct. He was booked in a 5:19 a.m.

Clark estimated damage at $50,000-$100,000. The car was towed.

• At 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Dawn R. Smith, 52, Greencastle, was westbound on U.S. 36 in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler when she hit a deer.

Deputy Clark estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

• At 9:04 p.m. on Wednesday, Clinton Johnson, 45, Terre Haute, was westbound on U.S. 40 approaching County Road 900 West in a 2016 Jeep Renegade when he hit a deer.

Deputy Todd Hopkins estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.
